The Climate Emergency is a Civilizing Crisis, a moment that requires us to stop and reflect deeply on what we have done as humanity, and that allows ourselves to take a breath to imagine which is the path we want to take if we want to move towards a possible world.

Art and poetry, dance and music, narrative and drawing, theater and cinema are the expressions that translate the consciousness we have, this is why when we connect art and the environment we generate a bond with Mother Earth, which sensitizes us to achieve a «feeling-thinking» necessary to face the climate crisis and the loss of biodiversity and as a result, create a culture of transition towards sustainability and respect for life.

Therefore, the spirit of the Festival seeks to integrate the struggles for environmental awareness with artistic expressions, which make visible the need to declare the Climate Emergency in Mexico City and promote alliances between the public, private and social sectors to develop action proposals in the face of the Climate Emergency within the city and town halls.
